Roger MC16-HRC-3 Hotel Access Controller Module
Access Controller for
hotel rooms MC16-HRC is a variant of the standard access controller MC16-PAC,
which provides additional operating functions hotel room.
The hotel room service is provided by the controller in cooperation with
dedicated staff for this purpose with terminals and I/O expanders, and in
particular with a reader corridor (MCT82M-IO-HR) and card slot (MCT82M-IO-CH or
MCT86M-IO-CH-HR).
The system enables control and signaling of services: Buffet, Baggage,
Cleaning, Help, Service, Do not disturb and statuses: Checked in and Guest In a
room. Signaling the above-mentioned states and automation states can be updated
on an ongoing basis monitored from the VISO management program and signaled on
LED indicators and/or controller output lines. Corridor reader MCT82M-IO-HR has
four programmable LED indicators and a bell button. These indicators are
usually used to signal the status of the room and services: Cleaning and Do Not
Disturb. The bell can be signaled on external chime or internal speaker of the
terminal installed inside room (e.g. terminal with pocket). The system
recognizes the code of the card inserted into the card pocket and, depending on
its permissions, turns on the power supply to the room and other devices or
systems available in the room (e.g. air conditioning).
Function buttons on touch panels are typically used for control hotel signals
and lighting. Any combination lighting (so-called light scene) can be activated
using the keys functionalities located on touch panels, buttons connected to
inputs of the controller, system management program or by using the o card
appropriate permissions. Automation control, including lighting, can be carried
out concurrently from many places and using many methods.

The controller can be powered from a mains voltage transformer 18VAC
output and 20VA power and from standard DC voltages 12VDC and 24VDC.
When powered by 12VDC, the controller does not support the battery i the
implementation of emergency power supply lies with the supplying power supply
voltage 12VDC.
Due to the security requirements of the RACS 5 system device used in hotels
are only offered in the serviced version MIFARE®cards' encrypted memory
sectors.
