Roger MC16-EVC-64 Conventional Elevator Access Controller


MC16-EVC controller is designed to work with classic elevator systems where the floor is selected by changing the state of electrical contact associated with the floor button. In the access control concept used in the MC16-EVC controller, the user must first identify at the reader installed in the elevator to select the floor and then the controller activates a set of output lines that unlock the floors to which the given user has access.

The authorizations for individual floors can be defined using time schedules and calendars, and there is also the option to unlock buttons to cancel the requirement for user identification. The outputs for buttons unlocking can be located on any I/O expanders connected to the controller, however the most suitable for this purpose is the MCX8 expander offering eight relay outputs with isolated NO/NC contacts. User identification can be carried out on any MCT series reader, PRT series reader or compatible Wiegand interface reader. The controller supports one elevator with 64 floors and up to 8,129 users.

As with other MC16 series controllers, communication with the VISO management application is encrypted and takes place via LAN/WAN network. The conventional elevators are supported in VISO ST management software and there is not limit in terms of the number of lifts serviced in the system.
