Elmes STX v.2 Multichannel transmitter with timer

Note! A new version of the remote control, STX v.2, is available. Instead of a channel number, a user-friendly, 8-character name is displayed, which you can edit.

The Elmes Elektronik STX v.2 remote control with a real-time clock provides the user with 35 control channels. Each of these channels allows for manual control of receiving devices.

Additionally, channels 1..8 have a timer function that allows for automatic opening and closing, for example, of window blinds, at user-selected times of day.

Each channel 1..8 has an independent timer program, and each can be programmed with one or two opening and closing times for each day of the week individually or for all days together.

The STX remote's timer is designed to control roller shutters using STM, ST100H, and ST6H controllers, but it can also be used to control other receivers. Just remember that the opening times set in the STX remote trigger the sending of a code corresponding to pressing the ▲ button at a given time, while closing times trigger the sending of a code corresponding to pressing the ▼ button.

The operation of the timer mode will depend on the output mode set in the receiver:

  • Monostable mode: At the opening time set in the STX remote, the receiver's output will activate for the programmed time. The closing times can be either not used or allocated to controlling another receiver output. The disadvantage of this solution is that the channel cannot be turned off, even manually, until the programmed time has elapsed.
  • Bistable mode: At the opening time set in the STX remote control, the receiver's output will change state. Closing times can be either not used or allocated to controlling another output. The disadvantage of this solution is that we are not sure whether the receiver's output will turn on or off at the set time, as this depends on its previous state.
  • ON-OFF mode: At the opening time set in the STX remote control, the receiver's output will turn on and off at the closing time. This mode does not have the disadvantages of its predecessors, but is only available in single-channel and two-channel receivers, including the DWP12, DWP24, and in the 20-channel special version: "CH20HRhet version 2"
