Checks the signal strength of the transmitter - receiver 433.92 MHz in the band
measurement result is displayed on the 6 LEDs (2 yellow + 4 green), the more
LEDs are lit the stronger the signal.Yellow LEDs lit only an insufficient level
of signal received by the receiver.
Detection of interference.
In addition, the indicator also allows detection of other radio signals
appearing in the 433.92MHz band KTRE can locally disrupt receivers Elmes and
cause operating range.
INSTALLATION AND MEASUREMENT.
1. Using the jumper choose the type of receiver:
- SR - receiver superreactive
- SH1 - superheterodyne receiver with Philips UAA3210 system (production
until 2008)
- SH2 - superheterodyne receiver with TDA5220 Infineon system (production
since 2008)
2. Connect the power pins by inserting the index +/- on the receiver board
3. Stimulating in turn each transmitter in the anticipated installation site
observe the received signal level LED indicator glowing
Instalation and measurement:
Keep in mind that sometimes the shift of the mounting location, eg. 1 m can
significantly change the level of the received signal. Very much depends on
environmental factors, walls floors can be made of different materials which
have a different degree of attenuation. Do not install components on the verge
of signal strength.
NOTE: When measuring superheterodyne receiver (jumper in position SH2) RFM4
indicator detects both the modulated signals AM and FM and unmodulated (eg. A
constant carrier). Superreactive receiver (jumper in position SR) or older
heterodyne (jumper SH1) detects only modulated signals AM.
