VIDD 100 infrared barrier uses two infrared beams. Alarm will be given after discontinuation of the two beams. This reduces the number of false alarms that could be caused by small animals, birds or falling leaves.

The calibration of the transmitter and receiver facilitates hole collimation, and LED indicator for the strength of the received signal. Adjustment is possible in the horizontal plane of 120° (+/- 20°), the vertical of 10 degrees (+/- 5°).
