Multi-sensor Detector ASD-110 can detect an early stages of a fire, if there is avisible smoke and/or if the temperature increase. It can workindependently or as a part of a two-way wireless system ABAX. Fordetecting visible smoke it uses a optical method. When concentrationof a smoke in optical chamber exceeds a certain threshold, an alarmis triggered. Parameters of a smoke detector are modified accordingto changes recorded by the temperature sensor (thermistor).
Features:
LEDindicator during test stage;
tempercontrol responding to opening of the cover and separating from thewall;
testmode turned remotely;
auto-diagnostics functions (monitoring the battery state and optical chamber);
Contents:
Detector,dust cap, Lithium battery CR123A, mounting hardware, user's manual
Working description:
Fordetecting visible smoke it uses a optical method. When concentrationof a smoke in optical chamber exceeds a certain threshold, an alarmis triggered. Parameters of a smoke detector are modified accordingto changes recorded by the temperature sensor (thermistor).
Alarmis signaled optically (steady LED light) and acoustically (intermittentsound) for 2 minutes. After pressing test/reset button (marked withletter A in Pic 1) during alarm will clear the alarm. Informationabout the alarm is being sent to ACU-100 / INTEGRA 128-WRL. Aftereliminating the cause of the alarm, information will be sent aboutend of the alarm.
After starting the system in ABAX testmode, LED indicates:
- blink rapidly – memory of the alarmtriggered by smoke;
- flashes slowly – memory of the alarmtriggered by thermal sensor;
- single brief flash – detector beingpolled (no alarm);
Installation:
Detector is designed to work inconfined spaces. It should be mounted on the ceiling with a 0.5 meterdistance from the walls.
Detector should not be mounted inplaces with high dust and/or dirt concentrations, as well as inplaces of formation and condensation of steam. Detector should not bemounted near heaters and stoves.
Detector case should not be closedwithout batteries installed. During battery installation and exchangeone should be very careful. Manufacturer is not responsible for anyconsequences of improper battery installation.
The following description applies tomounting the detector, which is supposed to work in ABAX system. Ifthe detector is to work alone, please skip steps 5 – 8.
- Take off plastic anti-dust shield.
- Twist cover counterclockwise to takeit off.
- Take out the battery and peel theplastic.
- Put batter back inside.
- Add detector to the wireless system(see manual for ACU-100 control panel, or manual forINTEGRA 128-WRL or manual for VERSA series control panels).
- Close the case andtemporarily attach the detector in the place of a future assembly.
- Check signal strengthreceived by detector. If necessary change the location.
- Open case.
- Using screws attachthe casing to the sealing.
- Close case.
- Press and Hold thetest/reset button, in order for detector to start working. After fewseconds alarm should be triggered.
- If there is any workin the area of the detector that could lead to contaminating theoptical chamber, please attach the plastic anti-dust barrier.
