  • LED. Lit in red only intest mode, indicating communication with the controller (whilepolling), closing probe electrodes and tamper controller beingactivated;
  • tamper controller whichactivates when opening case or separating from the wall;
  • Lithium battery CR123A 3Vwhich lasts for about three years. Detectormonitors the battery level. When voltage on the batter drops to 2.6V,it will issue an information about battery being low until it's notreplaced.

Installation:

AFD-100is designed for indoor installation.

Beforemounting the detector permanently, check the level of the signalstrength received from detector by ACU-100. If needed change thelocation for optimal signal strength.

Batteryshould be installed in the detector just before registering it withthe controller. Detector that it not registered and/or with very lowcommunication signal strength will consume more energy, which willshorten battery life.

  1. Opencover.
  2. Installthe battery and add the detector to the wireless system (checkoperating manuals for ACU-100). 7-digit number on the sticker shouldbe entered during the registration.
  3. Closecover.
  4. Choosethe location for detector installation. It's recommended for thedetector to be mounted high. It helps with getting bettercommunication also it will protect detector from being accidentallycovered by moving objects.
  5. Checkthe signal level strength, if low choose a different location.
  6. Opencover.
  7. Makea hole in case for sensor cables.
  8. Putsenor cables through the hole and attach them to the pins on circuitboard.
  9. Usingscrews attach the case to the wall.
  10. Closecover.
  11. Configure the detector as required. Configuration information are included inthe operating manual of the ACU-100.
  12. Start remotely the test mode and check if sensor probe is working correctlyby immersing the probe into the water.
  13. Turnoff the test mode.
  14. Attachthe wires from the probe and the probe itself. Detector is nowworking.
