ACTIVIA-2 (2
beams,strips length 52cm)
ACTIVAis a series of
photoelectric devices that acts as active
infraredbarrier.
Each device includes transmitter and
receiver.
Device properties
- Encodinginfrared beams, which prevents substitution of the transmitters
(whenreceiver will be illuminated from another source, it will beinterpreted
as a infrared beam interruption).
- Configurablesensitivity beams.
- Ability to lock automatically after a preset number of
programmedviolations.
- Possibilityof permanently disabling beams.
- Configurablenumber of beams which will trigger the alarm.
- Memorylocks.
- Abilityto change the signal strength (barriers range).
- Programmabledevice using ACTIVIA.
- Tamperswitch detects an attempt to open case or tearing strip off the
wall.
- Aestheticand durable (resistant to weather and mechanical damage) casing,
madeof aluminum and polyamide.
Transmitter
SATEL ACTIVA-2 Active infrared barrier with 2 beams
1. tamperswitch leads;
2. Pins
- +12V– power input;
- COM– ground;
- SYN - synchronizationterminal -
must be connected to the same terminal receiver
3. Pins to set beamsstrength. Depending on the distance between
transmitter andreceiver, adjust the infrared beam power by setting a jumper on
pinsShort – Long on a transmitter electronic board: Short – up to 10meters,
Long – to 20 meters.
4
. LED emitting infraredradiation.
Receiver
SATEL ACTIVA-2 Active infrared barrier with 2 beams
1. tamperswitch leads;
2. RS-232port for PC connection;
3. SAP– pins synchronizing transmitter and receiver;
4. LED– violation signal pins. If jumper present device will signal withLED the
interruption of the beam.
5. Pins:
- +12V– power input
- COM- ground;
- SYN - synchronization terminal -must
be connected to the same terminal transmitter;
- TMP– tamper;
- NC– relay;
- LED
6. infraredreceiver;
7.
LEDindicating device state (used when
synchronizing ghr transmitter andthe receiver, also to indicate the violation
of beams);
8.
buzzerused for signalizing
beams violation (for first 30 minutes fromturning on the device. Violation of
any beam equals to one buzzersignal – for example: simultaneousviolating3 beams will generate 3 buzzer
signal, 4 beam violations – 4buzzer signals and so on);
Installation
Duringthe installation one must pay attention to weather the sun
don'tstrike directly at the receiver, as it may interfere with the
deviceand trigger false alarms.

Barrierscan be mounted facing power lines up or down. Do not install
powerlines facing opposite directions.

Configuration
Start-upand basic configuration can be performed manually by setting
jumpersdirectly on the electronic board pins. Full configuration anddiagnostics
is only possible using a computer with installed ACTIVAsoftware.
