Roger MCT84M-BK-QB QR code reader

MCT84M-BK-QB is an identification terminal designed to work in the RACS access control system 5.
Optionally, the reader can be configured to work with an open communication protocol used outside the RACS 5 system (e.g. in automation systems).

User identification can can be done by reading a QR code, BLE/NFC mobile ID or a proximity card. Reader supports QR codes encrypted according to the Roger standard or unencrypted codes. Encrypted QR codes are generated from the software managing the access control system. May be available as a printed image (label) or displayed on the phone. Mobile identification BLE/NFC requires the use of the RMK (Roger) mobile application available for iOS and Android. IN When connected to the MC16 controller, the device can function as an access control terminal and/or working time registration and at the same time be a control point for building automation within functions available in the RACS 5 system.

Characteristics:
  • access terminal to the RACS 5 system
  • reading MIFARE Ultralight/Classic/DESFire (EV1, EV2, EV3)/Plus cards
  • reading NFC and BLE mobile identifiers
  • reading encrypted QR codes
  • reading unencrypted 1D and 2D barcodes
  • EPSO 3 RS485 interface (RACS 5 system)
  • option to work with the open RS485 protocol
  • work in outdoor conditions
  • CE mark, RoHS
  • dimensions: 130.0 x 45.0 x 22.0 mm
Power
The terminal requires a DC power supply in the range of 11-15V. This voltage can be supplied from MCX2D/MCX4D expander of the MC16-PAC-KIT set, MC16 access controller (TML power output) or from a separate power supply.

Communication between the terminal and the MC16 access controller is provided by the RS485 bus, which can be accessed in total connect up to 16 RACS 5 system devices, each with an individual address in the range 100-115.
The RS485 transmission standard used in the RACS 5 system guarantees correct transmission communication over distances of up to 1200 meters (calculated by cable) and is characterized by high resistance to noise.

The reader casing has a neutral design, thanks which fits well into both traditional and modern interiors.
