Roger MC16-AZC-10 Advanced Access Zone Controller for 10 Doors
The MC16-AZC-10 is an access and building automation controller dedicated to
the RACS 5 system.
After connecting MCT series terminals and optional MCX series expanders, it can
be used in both access control and time and attendance, as well as building and
hotel automation. The controller, through its own input/output lines or those
of a connected peripheral device, can support elements such as locks, exit
buttons, signaling devices, etc.
The system controller configuration process is carried out concurrently over a
LAN/WAN network, and the number of controllers in the system does not affect
its configuration time. The device is designed to be powered from a mains
transformer with an output voltage of 18VAC and a power of 20VA. However, it
can also be powered from standard DC voltages of 12VDC and 24VDC. When powered
by 12VDC, the controller does not support a battery and the backup power supply
is provided by the power supply providing 12VDC.

The entry limit defines the number of entries into a zone, after which the
controller blocks access to the zone. The access day limit defines the number
of days during which the controller can grant access to the zone, although
these days do not have to be consecutive. Both of these mechanisms are
typically used to control access to places where access is subject to fees
(e.g., recreational facilities) or where entry limits are required (e.g.,
single-entry access). The absence day limit defines the number of consecutive
days during which a user has not entered the zone, after which access is
automatically blocked. This feature can be used to automatically block access
if the user loses or fails to return their ID to the system administrator.
