OPTEX RLS-2020A REDSCAN mini-Pro: PoE-enabled, environmental-resistant
laser detector
The RLS-2020V detector offers precise LiDAR detection and ultra-fast response
times, ensuring immediate intruder detection. Thanks to its built-in camera,
the RLS-2020V enables event verification and recording for subsequent analysis.
An extended detection range of up to 30 m and a 95° detection angle make the
device ideal for protecting high-value assets, as well as buildings and sites
requiring a high level of security. Additionally, the detector is ONVIF Profile
S compliant and features extra outputs and protocols that allow for easy
integration into security systems.
It ensures intruder detection even in the most challenging environmental
conditions and in total darkness. Designed for operation in both extremely low
and high temperatures (from -40°C to 60°C), its performance remains unaffected
by rain, snow, wind, or lighting changes. The REDSCAN Mini Pro detector is
resistant to environmental factors, guaranteeing consistent and reliable
operation in extreme weather conditions.
It utilizes "Time of Flight" (ToF) technology to determine the size,
location, and distance of moving or loitering objects.
The RLS-2020V model features a built-in Full HD camera that assists in
verifying the cause of an alarm. The camera covers the entire detection area
and is equipped with an auto-adjusting infrared illuminator, ensuring the
detected object is clearly visible even at night or in low-light environments.
Alarm signals, along with camera footage, are stored in internal memory capable
of holding up to 500 events.
The versatile housing design of the latest LiDAR detector allows it to be
adapted to the specific requirements of the installation site. Various mounting
options are available—including wall, ceiling, and pole mounting—and detection
can be configured for either vertical or horizontal operation without the need
for additional brackets. In horizontal mode, the RLS-2020V detector can be used
to protect roofs, skylights, and ceilings, while in vertical mode, it enables
the creation of virtual walls to safeguard property, facades, narrow areas
around buildings, or site boundaries. When a larger area requires protection,
the extended detection range allows for coverage of up to 30 meters in length
across a 95° field of view.
