OPTEX RLS-2020A REDSCAN mini-Pro: PoE-enabled, environmental-resistant
laser detector
The RLS-2020A detector ensures intruder detection even in the harshest
environmental conditions and in total darkness. Designed for operation in both
extremely low and high temperatures (from -40°C to 60°C), its performance
remains unaffected by rain, snow, wind, or lighting changes. The REDSCAN Mini
Pro is built to withstand environmental factors, guaranteeing consistent and
reliable operation in extreme weather conditions.
The REDSCAN mini-Pro creates virtual walls or detection planes covering a 20x20
meter area with a 95° field of view; it analyzes the size, location, and
distance of moving objects to precisely detect intrusions. The detector is
ONVIF Profile S compliant and equipped with additional outputs and protocols to
facilitate easy integration into security systems.
The versatile housing design of this latest LiDAR detector allows it to be
adapted to specific installation requirements. It offers various mounting
options—including wall, ceiling, and pole mounts—and supports both vertical and
horizontal detection modes without the need for additional brackets. In
horizontal mode, the RLS-2020A detector can be used to protect roofs,
skylights, and ceilings, while in vertical mode, it enables the creation of
virtual walls to protect property, facades, and narrow areas around buildings
or site boundaries. If a longer area requires protection, the extended
detection range allows for coverage of up to 30 meters in length at a 95°
angle.
