The OPTEX AP-20NB(C) is an advanced, wired PIR detector with a curtain-style detection pattern, designed for use in alarm systems and building automation (Smart Home) applications.
Thanks to its unique design intended for flush (recessed) mounting, the detector blends almost seamlessly into the ceiling or wall, ensuring the highest level of security without compromising the interior aesthetics.

  • Inconspicuous protection (Flush mounting): With a diameter of just 52 mm, the detector sits perfectly flush with the ceiling or wall surface. Optional mounting in a standard type 86 installation box is also possible
  • Precise curtain detection (Range up to 6 m): The device creates a narrow detection barrier, making it an ideal solution for securing areas along windows, entrance doors, balcony doors, and corridors
  • Versatile mounting (Vertical / Horizontal):
    • Ceiling mounting: Creates a vertical curtain measuring 6.0 x 1.0 m (at a mounting height of up to 4.5 m)
    • Wall mounting: Provides a horizontal detection plane, ideal for protecting approaches to windows, for example
  • Flexible sensitivity configuration: Three-level sensitivity adjustment (low / medium / high) allows the device to be adapted to room conditions, minimizing the risk of false alarms
  • Versatile application: NO/NC relay outputs allow for easy integration of the detector with both alarm control panels and home automation controllers (e.g., for automatically turning on lights upon entering a corridor)
