At the heart of the barrier lies the proven and reliable BCU1
control unit, featuring the manufacturer's latest quarterly specification
(firmware-optimized version) while maintaining identical wiring diagrams,
electrical parameters, and full functionality of the BlueBUS system and Yubii
device support.
The latest version of the electronics features updated firmware, improved
overload detection characteristics (amperometric sensing), and enhanced native
compatibility with new accessories in the Nice ecosystem (e.g., OXIBD receivers
and Smart Home systems). Designed for intensive use, the built-in control unit
meets the requirements of parking, industrial, and residential installations.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF NICE BARRIERS
DURABILITY AND RELIABILITY
Steel construction, robust balancing springs, and elliptical-profile booms
resistant to strong winds.
HIGHLY VISIBLE
Its distinctive
orange
color, optional LED lighting in the unit housing, optional LED
warning lights on the boom, traffic light support, and the option to apply
warning decals ensure the NICE barrier cannot go unnoticed.
SAFE
Photocells can be mounted directly onto the central unit housing using special
optional brackets, protecting the area immediately beneath the moving barrier
boom. During operation, the control unit monitors motor current draw; if an
obstacle is detected, it instantly halts movement and executes a programmed
response (e.g., reversal, partial reversal, or stop). Optionally, the boom can
be fitted with red rubber safety strips or a resistive safety edge (8.2 kOhm).
ENERGY-EFFICIENT AND ALWAYS READY – POWER SUPPLY
The drive is powered by 230V mains voltage as standard. The optional SOLEMYO
system can also be used. An additional PS224 battery provides backup power
during outages, ensuring the barrier "always operates." When idle,
the control unit minimizes energy consumption by switching to
"Standby" mode.
ADVANCED DESIGN, PROGRAMMING, AND SERVICING
Separate housing compartments for the electronics and mechanical components
significantly simplify drive maintenance. The control unit is located in the
upper section of the barrier, providing the installer with easy access to
settings and connectors.
A self-diagnosis function detects operational irregularities and indicates the
type of error via flashing light signals.
