AJAX FireProtect 2 Jeweller (Heat/Smoke/CO) is a wireless fire detector with a
built-in siren designed for indoor installation.
The device detects smoke, temperature rise, and dangerous CO (carbon monoxide)
levels in rooms. By default, the detector works in conjunction with dedicated
Hubs, but it can also operate as a standalone device (without a Hub).
FireProtect 2 is available in two versions: with non-replaceable batteries (SB
in the name), which last for 10 years, and with replaceable batteries (RB in
the name), which last for up to 7 years.

A unique dust-tight, insect-proof smoke chamber, a dual-spectrum optical
sensor, and the proprietary HazeFlow 2 software algorithm guarantee fast and
accurate fire detection – the highest level of safety without the stress of
false alarms.
Impeachable to dust and insects
The smoke chamber is designed with zero
possibility of contamination that could affect detection.
A unique circulation mechanism provides the optical sensor with an unobstructed
field for the rapid identification of combustion products in the air.
Immune to cooking fumes and steam
The smoke chamber is equipped with a
dual-spectrum optical sensor that utilizes blue and infrared LEDs with
different wavelengths.
Uses the most reliable real-time detection method, directly measuring the
concentration of microparticles in the air.
This technology allows FireProtect 2 to determine the size of airborne
particles inside the chamber and respond only to smoke, ignoring fumes and
water vapor.
Protection against an invisible threat
Carbon monoxide (CO) is
colorless, odorless, and undetectable without a carbon monoxide sensor, so
poisoning can occur undetected.
Even low concentrations can have a negative impact on health, especially in
people with chronic illnesses, pregnant women, the elderly, and young children.
Exposure to high concentrations can cause permanent damage or even death in a
very short time. FireProtect 2 warns of dangerous CO concentrations of 50 ppm,
even before the first symptoms of poisoning appear.
The built-in chemical sensor responds to low concentrations and can accurately
detect CO levels for up to 10 years.

Only Real Threats Considered
Extensive research into burning materials
has resulted in HazeFlow 2, a smoke detection algorithm developed by Ajax. The
algorithm simultaneously analyzes and compares data from a dual-spectrum
optical sensor with a specific pattern to distinguish smoke from steam or
vapor.
The sensor immediately triggers an alarm when the pattern dynamics indicate a
real fire.
Even in the event of a smokeless fire
FireProtect 2 is equipped with
two Class A1R thermistors to detect smokeless fire hazards.
These provide a significant advantage in detecting rapid temperature increases
when synthetic materials are burning or when a fire starts with embers.
The thermistors are located outside the housing to eliminate life-threatening
delays in detection. That's why FireProtect2 is ready to quickly detect
fires, even if they occur unnoticed.

Low Battery Warning
The sensor reports low battery levels at least 30
days before they are completely discharged. Installers and users receive
notifications in the Ajax app.
Furthermore, FireProtect 2 features an LED indicator and audible signals to
indicate low battery levels.

For fire alarm systems in residential
buildings, the priority is to inform people about the threat of fire.
FireProtect 2 is equipped with a powerful 85 dB siren, eliminating the risk of
missing the alarm.
The sensor uses distinct, unmistakable sounds to signal each alarm or event,
making it easy to recognize the type of threat and respond appropriately.

Wireless connection
All FireProtect 2 sensors can report fires
synchronously. As soon as one sensor detects a threat, it only takes 20 seconds
for the sirens of other fire sensors in the building to sound.
If a fire breaks out at night, the 85 dB volume can wake even a soundly
sleeping person.
Advanced Automation for Greater Safety
Ajax fire detectors are part of
the Ajax ecosystem and can interact with automation devices and PhOD sensors
from the MotionCam line through scenarios.
In the event of a fire alarm, the WallSwitch disconnects power to the home, and
the Relay activates the emergency lighting. At the same time, the MotionCam
(PhOD) sends photos to the Ajax app to identify the cause of the alarm.
The result is a reliable combination of security and automation that works like
a Swiss watch.
Hassle-free Installation and Maintenance
FireProtect 2 is ready to use
right out of the box. There's no need to remove the sensor during
installation.
Thanks to the improved SmartBracket, installers can easily mount the sensor and
level it at a 90-degree angle after installation.
Ajax apps allow you to quickly add a device to the system. And you can always
configure it remotely, without the need for an on-site visit.
Equipped with unique dust-proof technology, the maintenance-free smoke chamber
requires no regular cleaning.
The self-test system automatically diagnoses the sensors and reports their
status to the hub. Tests can also be initiated manually at any time in the app
or by pressing the front panel of the sensors with any suitable object – your
hand or a mop handle.
