Somfy Altus RS IO is an intelligent roller shutter drive system that is radio-controlled. This is the latest line of roller shutter drives from Somfy. The drive is equipped with continuous control of the shaft torque, thanks to which the roller shutter can detect obstacles while opening or closing. The position of the motor is always monitored in real time. Thanks to the IO technology used in the roller shutter drive, the drive is able to inform the TaHoma control unit about the position of the roller shutter.

The drive will easily detect all obstacles during opening, such as icing of the guides in winter, or flower pots or other objects left on the windowsill. The roller shutters are fully protected against unauthorized access during operation. They are fully safe thanks to 128-bit signal encryption.
