SMA (RP-SMA) connectors are a popular type of coaxial connector used for transmitting radio frequency (RF) signals. They come in two versions:
-
SMA: The male connector has an inner pin, and the female connector has an outer sleeve.
-
RP-SMA: The male connector has an outer sleeve, and the female connector has an inner pin.
Both types of connectors have the same dimensions and are fully mechanically compatible. The only difference is the reversal of the gender of the center pin.
