Bridge is a device that allows you to instantly connect your smartphone to the
Tedee lock - via Wi-Fi. In this configuration, you can control the lock in
online mode: assign access, check the activity log.
The device connects the Tedee smart lock to the Internet. It connects to the
lock via Bluetooth, to the local network via Wi-Fi. After connecting it to an
electrical outlet, preferably within 2 meters of the door, you should add the
device to the mobile application.
WHAT IS BRIDGE NEEDED FOR?
The smart bridge, thanks to its constant
connection to the Internet, allows you to remotely open and close the door -
from anywhere in the world. Thanks to the device, controlling the lock is much
more effective. An important function of the smart bridge is also the real-time
preview, which allows you to set push notifications and check the history of
door openings.
Smart locks are regularly improved through software updates. A permanent
internet connection allows these updates to be automatically implemented. In
the absence of a bridge, the need to manually initiate updates requires being
near the door. This is crucial, because the latest software versions offer the
highest standard of reliability and security.
