Faac 105043 XGUARD-10H Horizontal Laser Scanner

The XGUARD-10H horizontal laser scanner extends the range of applications for barriers. It can be used wherever high-power barriers are designed to ensure fast operation but do not restrict pedestrian traffic.
The laser scanner reliably detects vehicles and people, ensuring maximum pedestrian protection. Another area of use is construction situations where induction loops cannot be installed or when their optimal operation is disrupted, e.g. by electrical installations located in the ground.

It has a maximum range of 9.9 x 9.9 m. The scanning area can be divided into one safety field and one opening activation field. Vehicles and people are detected in the safety field, only small objects (such as a movable arm support) are not taken into account.

Depending on the chosen installation location, the barrier can only open when a vehicle is detected, not a person. The barrier then closes when there is no one in the safety field. The laser scanner generates four overlapping laser curtains that effectively eliminate any interference.
